The Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival Fellows program brings outstanding doctoral students of color from all disciplines to Ithaca College during FLEFF to participate in screenings, lectures, workshops, master classes, concerts and events within an engaging, interdisciplinary, think tank environment.

The festival fellows engage with Ithaca College faculty and students from across campus as well as with festival guests to explore linkages between sustainable development, different media platforms, globalization, race, ethnicity and gender in order to stimulate new research and thinking in the areas of sustainability, interdisciplinary research, and international issues.

Festival fellows are recruited from doctoral programs across the United States from a wide variety of disciplines in consultation with departments on the Ithaca College campus. The fellowship covers transportation, accommodations, meals and a festival pass.

Ithaca College faculty are encouraged to share information about the FLEFF Fellowship program with eligible applicants or with others who might be in a position to do so.
