The School of Business is hosting a campus-wide, team-based, funded Sustainability Case Competition this spring, where one team can walk away with $5,000.

Join us for an information session on Thursday, February 7, at either 12:05 p.m. or 7 p.m. in BUS 111.

The 2013 Sustainability Case competition will focus on developing a marketing plan for the New York State Sustainability Education Working Group. The plan will focus on increasing student awareness at college campuses across New York State about sustainability, what it means and why it is important. Student teams will develop marketing plans focused on reaching college students that include strategies for analysis, planning, implementation and assessment.

The Dorothy D. and Roy H. Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise is housed in a LEED Platinum Building, where sustainability is emphasized throughout the curriculum. To further highlight business and sustainability, the School of Business is putting on this competition focused on a real organization with a business and sustainability issue.

Open to current Ithaca College students, teams compete for a total of $10,000 in prize money ($5,000 first place, $3,500 second, and $1,500 for third). The overall goal is for students to learn about how sustainability issues impact the real world, locally and globally.
