John Scott, associate professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences, and Studies, produced First Death in Nova Scotia, a short film based on the poem of the same name by Elizabeth Bishop. Scott’s cinepoem was published in TriQuarterly, out of Northwestern University, and is also available for screening on YouTube. To view the film, click here.
Last January, Scott adapted In the Waiting Room, another Elizabeth Bishop poem, into a short film. Both were filmed in Nova Scotia.
