Contributed by Kristin LiBritz

Citizen Schools partners with public middle schools in low income communities by adding three hours to the end of the school day, giving students access to three major curricula: hands-on, engaging academic lessons that reinforce learning from the traditional school day, a robust college access and readiness program that focuses on what students need to do right now to make college an option for them, and our signature program element, apprenticeships. Learn about their National Teaching Fellowship, a full-time AmeriCorps position.

During the panel presentation you'll hear about the broad range of career opportunities, in nonprofit organizations and government agencies, which are available for students from most majors.

Joining the Citizen School recruiter on this panel will be representatives of the following organizations:

Binghamton Zoo
Clean & Healthy NY
FBI
Suicide Prevention and Crisis Service (Tompkins County)

The Making a Living While Making a Difference Panel presentation will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 7:00pm in the Klingenstein Lounge (Campus Center).  We encourage you to reserve your seat using online registration via eRecruiting (look for "Special Events" in the Events Calendar on your homepage).
