Marie Sanford, Clinical Associate professor in the Dept of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, three IC students and a colleague from Cornell University presented at the 16th Annual Conference of the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences in Las Vegas, NV.

Their presentation, “A Center without a Center: Strengthening family unity and self-sufficiency within the community” highlighted program successes of a local partnership that strives to enrich families through involvement in parenting workshops and guided family activities.  As a member of the Cornell Cooperative Extension-Tompkins County Family and Community Development Committee, Sanford and CCE-TC colleague Elizabeth Wolff, shared data from several program reviews, strategic responses for improvement, participant satisfaction, and community feedback.

The following students participated in this project and were fundamental in the delivery of this presentation: Kyle Conrad (Class of 2012), Daria Morganstern (Class of 2012), and Meredith Gennaro (Class of 2013).
