The Roy H. Park School of Communications will offer a mini-course titled "Media for Social Responsibility" that runs Thursday, April 18 through Saturday, April 20. The course is open to all majors at Ithaca College, and focuses on how media handles coverage of the Global Food Crisis.
Some key topics include: societal risks; environmental risks; health risks; portrayal of the body; and food as an industry.
Nutritionist Joy Bauer of the NBC’s TODAY! will kick off the course in conjunction with the Jessica Savitch Distinguished Journalism Lecture Series.
