Are you a senior (graduating in May or December) who has taken at least two art classes? If YES, that means you're eligible to submit work to the 2013 Senior Art Show!
Help us spread the word and let your peers know! The Senior Show will be on view from April 18-May 19 (aka, Commencement) which means your family and graduation visitors will also get to see your work on view at the gallery before the show comes down!
Participating in the senior exhibition is also a great way to add another experience on your resume/cv, to try something new, to show off that awesome thing you made junior year that you hide under your bed, to participate in another senior activity before jumping back into (gasp!) Real Life, to be able to see your work on a wall and your name on a label, or even to have another opportunity to wear something fancy at the opening reception! Are you convinced yet?
The deadline for submission is the March 18th (the Monday we get back from break!). You can pick up a submission form with information at the Handwerker Gallery or Denise Vanderburgh's desk in Cerrache (Art Department)! If you'd like to get a digital copy of the application or have questions about the process, email student curator Leaf Ye (lye1@ithaca.edu).
All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.; Thursday, 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.; and weekends, noon to 5.00 p.m.. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesdays unless otherwise specified for an event but can accommodate group or class visits by appointment.
For further information or individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations contact Mara Baldwin at mbaldwin@ithaca.edu or 607.274.3548. Please make requests for accommodations as far in advance as possible.
