The School of Business Names Dawn Kline, Assistant Dean for Student Services

Dawn Kline will join the School of Business on April 29th, as the new Assistant Dean for Student Services.  Dawn comes to us from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University, where she held the title of Director of Undergraduate Academic Advising and Counseling, since 2005.

In her role, Dawn will direct student academic services for the school which include admission events, orientation, registration, advising and academic evaluations.  She will also oversee the professional development and experiential education programs, as well as monitor and approve student academic actions, among a myriad of other duties.

“We’re very excited to welcome Dawn to the School of Business.  Her experience in higher education and academic advising services are impressive and we look forward to tapping into her expertise to offer our students a higher level of support.” said Dean Mary Ellen Zuckerman.

With over ten years of higher education experience, Dawn has an extensive background in advising and counseling services.  At SU, Dawn supervised advising and support staff, oversaw programming for students, and was liaison for faculty and deans on matters of advising, policy, and student concerns. Prior to joining Syracuse University, Dawn held various positions at the University of Rochester in their College Center for Academic Support (CCAS).  She also served on numerous committees at both Rochester and SU.

Dawn earned her M.A. in English from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her B.A. in English from University of Rochester.
