Annual Phi Kappa Phi Induction Ceremony - March 28th - 7:00 PM - Emerson Suites
Join current faculty, staff and student members of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi as they induct new members into this prestigious organization. At 7:00 PM, 116 new members across all five schools on campus will be welcomed into Phi Kappa Phi. The ceremony and reception will be held in Emerson Suites, and all friends, family and supporters are invited to attend.
The primary objective of the National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the recognition and encouragement of superior scholarship in all academic disciplines. The Society is convinced that in recognizing and honoring those persons of good character who have excelled in scholarship, in whatever field, it will stimulate others to strive for excellence. Moreover, the Society serves the interests of the student capable of excellence by insisting that in order to acquire a chapter of Phi Kappa Phi, an institution provide the means and atmosphere conducive to academic excellence.
The Society of Phi Kappa Phi takes it name from the initial letters of the Greek words forming its adopted motto: Philosophia Krateito Photon, "Let the love of learning rule mankind." Founded in 1897 at the University of Main, Phi Kappa Phi currently has 285 chapters across the United States, the Philippines and Puerto Rico.
