A film about sexual harassment on buses in Burma, and how stop it.Q&A with filmmaker Rhoda Linton.
Friday April 5 10:00-10:50am and 11:00-11:50am in Hill 62.
Whistle for Help (Rhoda Linton, United States/Burma, 2012; 18 min.) This film deals with an endemic problem in the Burmese public transit system: sexual harassment of women by men. The filmmaker shows the problems that women face and uses the film as an organizing tool in an attempt to bring attention to it, and then to find ways to address it.
