Kent Scriber, EdD, ATC, PT, FNATA, and Professor of Athletic Training in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science has been chosen as the 2013 Sayers "Bud" Miller Distinguished Educator Award winner by the National Athletic Trainers' Association's Executive Committee for Education.

Dr. Scriber is not only an alumnus of Ithaca College (BS in physical therapy, Class of 1972), but also the Founder (1975) and long time Director and Clinical Coordinator of the Athletic Training Education Program at his alma mater. This prestigious award was given in part due to Dr. Scriber's extensive accomplishments and contributions to Athletic Training Education over his 40+ year career as a clinician, educator, scholar and administrator, but also for his "bigger" impact on the professional development of over 400 Bomber AT alums, to date! Kent will receive his award at this summer's NATA Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, and will be a keynote luncheon speaker at the 2015 AT Educators' Conference, as well.
