Patrick Valentino, second year masters student in orchestral conducting, has been invited to study and conduct at the 2013 Oregon Bach Festival in Eugene, OR this summer.

There he will study with Helmuth Rilling, one of the worldʼs preeminent interpreters of Bach, and Scott Allen Jarrett, renowned director of choral ensembles in Boston and Charlotte.

Throughout the Festival, held June 24 through July 14 at the University of Oregon, Valentino will study masterworks of choral-orchestral literature including Beethoven's Missa Solemnis and Bach's B Minor Mass.

He has also been invited to conduct Bach's St. John Passion on four public concerts offered by the Oregon Bach Festival. Patrick has been a graduate student and assistant conductor at Ithaca College since September 2011, studying with Dr. Jeffery Meyer.
