Come watch a movie about some amazing athletes, enjoy refreshments, and don’t spend a dime!

On Monday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 101, the Diversity Awareness Committee will host a free public showing of the movie Murderball.

Murderball is a fast-paced, exciting athletic documentary film with unexpected yet fascinating protagonists: quadriplegic athletes who play wheelchair rugby. It centers on the rivalry between the Canadian and U.S. teams leading up to the 2004 Paralympic Games.  Many of the athletes featured in Murderball had catastrophic accidents during the prime of their lives.

“In less than an hour and a half, the athletes profiled in the documentary will frustrate you, amaze you, make you laugh and make you cry — but you'll never feel sorry for them,” wrote Peter Hartlaub in the San Francisco Chronicle.

This movie shows that that not only does life go on, but it can be lived to the fullest.

Come see for yourself!
