EXSS 20200 - Sport and Exercise Psychology will be offered online during Summer Session I. Course attributes: GE 1: Self & Society, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences
This course is an introduction to all the psychological factors that influence individual and group sport and exercise participation. Mental Skill Training techniques such as goal setting, imagery, relaxation training, concentration etc. will be discussed. This course will also discuss how these mental skills and other techniques can be used to improve performance, self-confidence, manage anxiety and stress, improve concentration, motivation, and leadership, among other topics. The psychology of burnout, injury and exercise adherence will also be explored.
This class is completely online, and can be completed at your own pace to accommodate your summer plans.
