In the past two weeks, Rachel Wagner was a featured panelist at New York University and at University of Colorado, Boulder, sharing her work on religion and virtual reality.At NYU's Center for Religion and Media, in partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi, she presented a talk entitled: Mitzvot Mash-up: Interactivity as Transformative Interpretation, as part of an event called "Digital Judaism: Tablet to Tablet." The event was supported by the Henry R. Luce Initiative on Religion and International Affairs.
At the University of Colorado's Center for Media, Religion, and Culture, she presented a talk entitled "Video Games, Ritual and the Problem of Violence," in a pair of talks alongside Jason Anthony, senior editor at Time Inc.
