Please join the staff of the Office of Counseling and Wellness on May 1 (4:30 to 6:00 pm) in the Collaboration Room of the Park School of Communications (Park 220) to honor Dr. Rankins’ contributions to the campus community.

Dr. LeBron Rankins has served the Ithaca College community as a psychologist at the Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) for the past ten academic years.  In that time, he has provided clinical services to students; coordinated CAPS’ Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program; served on various department, division and campus wide committees, and was a consultant to faculty, staff, administrators and parents concerned about the well-being of Ithaca College students.  He created vibrant marketing campaigns to encourage students to seek help for themselves or for their friends when in need.   In 2011, the national organization of Active Minds on Campus named  Dr. Rankins  “Advisor of the Year” for his leadership of the Ithaca College chapter which has also been recognized for excellence.

This summer, Dr. Rankins, an eight year veteran of the U.S. Army, will leave Ithaca College to provide psychological services to veterans for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Dayton, OH.  He has been a warm and generous presence on campus, and he will be missed.
Please join us on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, 4:30-6:00p.m., in the Collaboration Room of the Park School of Communication (Room 220) to honor Dr. Rankins and to wish him well in his new endeavors.
