Physical Therapy Student Wins Business Competition with the KettleShell

 CEO of the KettleShell, PT Grad Student, Timothy Reynolds competes at New York State Business Plan Competition on April 26, 2013.

 On Friday, April 26th, Tim Reynolds won third place in the product/service track at the New York State Business Plan Competition for presenting his product the “KettleShell,” an adapter for weightlifting equipment that transforms a dumbbell into a kettlebell. Reynolds, a graduate student in Ithaca’s Physical Therapy program and CEO of the KettleShell, delivered a ten minute business pitch with five minutes of subsequent Q&A to several entrepreneurs and angel investors, and was selected as one of the top finalists amongst over 80 teams that were at the competition. Reynolds and his company will receive a monetary award for their performance at the State competition, and is hoping to continue progressing with the KettleShell in the near future.
