On Thursday, May 16th from 4-7pm the Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) will be hosting an open house event to celebrate 25 years of service in the community in support of individuals with disabilities.
The event will be held at our location at 215 Fifth Street, Ithaca, NY. This free event will feature opportunities for the public to commemorate FLIC’s history and services with visual displays, food, music, and door prizes.
“FLIC welcomes members of the community to come see for yourself what FLIC offers while helping us celebrate our 25 years of service,” says Lenore Schwager, Executive Director.
FLIC has actively been providing peer counseling, advocacy, module ramps, Loan Closet, Try-It Room, information & referral and other services to empower people with disabilities for the past 25 years. The 25th Anniversary Open House Event is a great opportunity to learn more about your local Independent Living Center. To request an ASL interpreter for this event or an accommodation for a disability, contact us by May 13th at (607) 272-2433.
