Ithaca College Board of Trustees Grants Faculty Promotions

At its May meeting, the Ithaca College Board of Trustees awarded promotions to 10 faculty members. Congratulations to all of these professors for their continued excellence.

 

The following were promoted from associate professor to full professor:

Department of Anthropology
Jack Rossen, who earned his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Kentucky and his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Department of History
Michael Trotti, who earned his Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Department of Mathematics
Tom Pfaff, who earned his Ph.D. and two M.S. degrees from Syracuse University, a B.S. from SUNY Cortland and a B.S. from Ithaca College.

Department of Music Performance
Charis Dimaras, who earned his D.M.A. from the Manhattan School of Music, M.M. degrees from the Bard College Conservatory of Music and the Juilliard School and Diploma from the Royal College of Music, London.

Susan Waterbury, who earned M.M. degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and her B.M. from Ohio State University.

Department of Occupational Therapy
Carole Dennis, who earned her Sc.D. from Boston University, M.A. from the University of Connecticut and B.S. from the University of New Hampshire.

Department of Physics
Beth Ellen Clark Joseph, who earned her Ph.D. from the University of Hawai’i, Manoa, and B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Department of Politics
Peyi Soyinka-Airewele, who earned her Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom; M.Sc. from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria; and B.Sc. from the University of Ife, Nigeria.

Department of Psychology
Cyndy Scheibe, who earned her Ph.D., M.P.S. and B.S. from Cornell University.

 

The following faculty member was promoted from clinical assistant professor to clinical associate professor:

Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences
Courtney Gray, who earned her M.S. from the Arizona School of Health Sciences and B.S. from Ithaca College.
