Laura and two professional colleagues presented a poster on the initial phase of their research project at the Canadian Health Libraries Association 2013 Annual Conference.

The focus of their study "Research Syntheses Produced as Graduate Theses and Doctoral Dissertations: A Scoping Review" is to conduct a scoping review of research syntheses conducted as students’ theses and dissertations to better describe the phenomenon.  In evidence-based practice, systematic reviews and research syntheses have emerged as “best evidence”. Consequently, an increasing number of graduate students in health sciences are undertaking syntheses as research projects.
