You can learn about our community, network with other professionals and explore issues of community leadership through participation in Leadership Tompkins. Ithaca College will sponsor up to two staff or faculty members to participate in the Leadership Tompkins 2013-14 class.

Leadership Tompkins is 10-month program that runs from September through June, and is sponsored by TC3 and the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.  Each month, participants meet for a full-day session, held at a different location each time.  Each session includes presentations by community leaders representing a breadth of topics and issues.  In addition to the monthly sessions, participants complete a Community Action Project with a group of their classmates (topics and sponsoring organizations vary each year).

Please contact Kristin LiBritz '98, Chair of the Leadership Tompkins Advisory Board at klibritz@ithaca.edu if you have any questions about the program.  You may also learn about the experiences that the following Ithaca College staff had during their participation in Leadership Tompkins: Christy Agnese, Don Austin, Claudia Ayers, Melissa Gattine, Kirra Franzese, Linda Koenig (current Advisory Board member), Carol Henderson, Shelli Mekos, Beth O'Neill, Lynne Pierce and Dave Prunty (prior Advisory Board member).

Please click here to access the application.  To obtain information on the application process, please contact Kristin LiBritz in Career Services at klibritz@ithaca.edu.  Please note that program participants are required to attend all 10 monthly sessions (including the two-day kickoff in September).  Completed applications must include the signature of the candidate's supervisor in order to be considered.
