In an effort to present Ithaca College email communication in a professional and consistent manner, the Office of Marketing Communications has published recommended standards for the e-mail signatures of faculty and staff for their “@ithaca.edu” accounts.
The recommended e-mail signature guidelines, along with more examples, can be found on the Office of Marketing Communications website.

The e-mail signature standards were designed to showcase professional contact information in a clear format and be universally viewable by all recipient e-mail programs. The standards also suggest ways to properly promote College-affiliated profiles on external websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Guidelines include the use of pipe symbols (|) to separate content in the signature, the elimination of images or logos from signatures, and suggestions for text point size and the use of vCards.
Instructions for adding or updating faculty and staff e-mail signatures can be found on the ITS website. For additional technical support, contact the ITS help desk at 607-274-1000 or helpdesk@ithaca.edu.
Questions regarding the content of the standards or their use should be sent to Rachel Reuben, associate vice president for marketing communications, at rreuben@ithaca.edu or 607-274-3830.
