Openings for Faculty Volunteers to Serve on ICC Course Designation Committees

08/29/13

Contributed by Danette Johnson

A few openings are still available for faculty volunteers to serve on Integrative Core Curriculum (ICC) course designation committees, particularly for themes/perspectives, diversity, and writing intensive course proposals. The Committee on College-wide Requirements will be meeting next Tuesday, 9/3 and volunteers will be contacted shortly after to determine meeting times that will work for each committee.

If you are interested in serving, please email icc@ithaca.edu with your name and the designation committee(s) of interest to you.

The designation committees use a combination of face-to-face meetings and online review of course proposals seeking to have ICC designations; the time commitment averages about 30 minutes per week for themes/perspectives and an hour every other week for the other designation committees.  For more information, please contact icc@ithaca.edu or any member of the Committee on College-wide Requirements (Susan Adams Delaney, Michael Buck, Paul Geisler, Hormoz Movassaghi, Jack Powers, Sharon Stansfield, John White).
