Ithaca Glows, sponsored by Planet Fitness and benefiting Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County, is the first-ever glow-in-the-dark fun run in the Finger Lakes region, and will take place on October 5th with the 5K starting at 8pm.
This event will start at Stewart Park and will follow the Cayuga Water Front Trail to the Ithaca Farmer's Market, and back. The Sport Event & Networking Club of Ithaca College is assisting with the race with volunteers. Along the way, participants will pass through "recharging stations" that will have black lights, music and many surprises!
Each participant who registers by September 10 will receive a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt, as well as other cool glow gear. T-Shirts will be available for purchase on raceday. Runners are also encouraged to come wearing any glow or black light reactive items they own.
