Heart-to-heart: a series of dialogues with the Dean and first-year students in the School of Music

Heart-to-Heart is intended to offer an opportunity to explore our lives as musicians beyond the limits of the classroom and practice room. 

The kinds of topics we'll engage include:

• How we get where we're going as musicians
• Career paths and life journeys
• How to make all the pieces of life fit together
• Bringing the many different facets of music together
• Balancing personal and professional life,
• Meeting our obligations to body, mind, and soul
• And many more

We'll develop the topics for discussion together, as we meet several times throughout the year.

Join us for our first meeting on Saturday, September 21 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Presser Rehearsal Hall, in the Whalen Center for Music. Snacks will be provided! All first-year students, all questions, and all discussion topics are welcome.
