The talk summarized 15 years of archaeological research, attempts to reconcile archaeology and oral history, and new ideas about the founding of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy. Held in the Ho Tung Visual Lab/Planetarium, the talk included visual recreation from space and on the ground of the A.D. 909 eclipse that may relate to the “black sun” story of Haudenosaunee oral history.
