Notice of Availability: procedures, practices and programs the College uses to keep students and its employees safe and facilities secure.
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act [20 USC 1092(f)], otherwise known as the “Clery Act”, the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is responsible for preparing, publishing and distributing an annual report by October 1 of each year, for the purpose of disclosing and disseminating certain information regarding campus crime, fire safety, campus safety and security, and emergency management. This information is made public by way of the 2013 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. Recent and continued amendments to this federal law add provisions dealing with specific information found in the publication, including but not limited to, emergency communications/notification systems and policies; fire safety policies and fire statistics; campus safety and security policies and crime statistics; campus safety and security education and prevention programming (e.g., alcohol and drug policies, sexual assault education and prevention programs, procedures for reporting sexual assaults, procedures for handling reports of sexual assault) and many other resources.
