There are a few spots left for students who want to experience the culture and habitats of Belize (you need not have taken ENVS 204, this fall’s Introduction to Belize class). Study tropical ecosystems, Mayan civilization and the impacts human have had on the region’s biodiversity.
Visit Mayan ruins, a marine sanctuary, the world’s first jaguar preserve, and the Belize Botanical Gardens. Do a homestay with a Belizean family and travel in the jungle with the Garifuna people. Explore the country on foot and by canoe, by snorkeling along the rich reefs, and delving deep into caves. As one student said, “It is truly a great way to learn about responsible travel and an amazing way to learn about yourself and how you fit into the world.” Join us!
