Professor Jorge Villavicencio Grossmann’s lecture follows the trajectory of Latin American composers who emigrated from their homeland and the effects that living in a foreign country has had in their work. Professor Grossmann, who was born in Peru and grew up in Brazil, will discuss the music of composers from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru.
