Creating Recurring Meetings or Appointments

When creating a new appointment or meeting on your calendar, you have the option to repeat the event at a specific interval for a set period of time.  For example, you might create an appointment that will repeat every Monday through the end of November. Instead of manually creating the appointment every Monday, you can create the appointment once and set a recurrence of every Monday with an end date of November 25 (the last Monday of November).  The event will automatically be repeated every Monday as a "series," with the last event being on November 25.

You will see this option displayed as a button labeled "recurrence" in a new meeting or appointment window in the Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2011 clients.  The Outlook Web App, available through myhome, displays this option as a drop-down menu labeled "repeat" in the new event window.

Every week, ITS provides a tip or trick for using the Outlook Calendar.  Training on Outlook Calendar is available in the Technology Learning Center (Friends Hall 101).
