The month of November give dual possibilities for it is both Native American and Hip Hop History Month. Therefore the African Latino Society in attempt to highlight and celebrate both we are hosting three interesting programs this week.

For our weekly general body meeting we will be exploring and celebrating various identities in hip hop. There is often the assumption that hip hop culture and music is only for a particular type of person. We will be exploring various racial identities and sexual orientations in hip hop!!!

"Native American Identities in Hip Hop" Showcase!! featuring
These awesome and well-known Native American hip hop dancers will be performing and sitting down for a panel and discussion on their contributions to hip hop and the ways in which Native American identities and cultures are integrated into hip hop! There will also be a few performances from students. Co-sponsored by IC Natives and ALS!
