Congratulations to Carin Pracht ’14, on her recent achievement of earning Microsoft Certifications for Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
According to Microsoft, a Microsoft Certification validates your expertise in a Microsoft technology. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, they’ll have access to community resources and tools that allow them to exchange ideas with peers, increase knowledge and skills, and broaden career opportunities.
“This accomplishment is something that I am very proud of because of recent experience trying to set myself apart from my peers when applying for internships.” said Carin Pracht. She added,“Many entry level jobs/internships are seeking people that are Microsoft proficient and the internship I applied for this past summer was given to another student because they had more experience with Microsoft products. I made it a personal goal to improve those skills this year and taking the becoming certified was the perfect avenue to perfect these skills.”
“Carin is a business minor who has worked very diligently in the Business Systems and Technology class to develop her computer skills and enhance her Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills through Microsoft certification.” said Management Professor William J. Taslte. “She is the first student to gain this level of success and I am very proud of her accomplishment.”
The Microsoft Certification exams not only help one to appeal to employers, but it also gives one the critical skills needed to work their way around Office programs efficiently. This certification is overlooked by many institutions and will help Justin to further set himself apart from the competition. All business students are now able to become Microsoft Excel certified by the end of their Sophomore year.
