The award is presented annually by Community Dispute and Resolution Center (CDRC) and Greater Ithaca Activity Center (GIAC).

This award is given to an individual or organization who works non-violently for change, who brings people together to resolve differences and/or promote social justice, and whose work benefits the Tompkins County community.

The nominating committee received a pool of nominations and said that it was stated by one of your nominators that your” "life purpose is dedicated to creating peaceful, loving relationships through music".  We felt that your vast accomplishments and work as a peacemaker spoke to the true nature of this award.

The 16th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Breakfast will be held at GIAC on Saturday, January 18th at 9:00 a.m.
