The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen series will host a showing of the documentary “One Wedding and a Revolution” at 7 pm in Textor 103 on Wednesday January 29. It is free and open to the public.

The film chronicles the events leading up to February 2004, when the mayor of San Francisco ordered city officials to allow lesbian and gay couples to get married. Pioneering activists Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, celebrating their 51st anniversary, had the privilege of being the first couple to tie the knot.

The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen series is sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services. For more information, visit www.ithaca.edu/lgbt.
