The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) has been re-accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS), Inc., an Alexandria, Virginia based organization of United States, Canadian and Australian counseling agencies.
CAPS was evaluated by IACS against high standards of counseling practice and was found to offer competent and reliable professional services to its clientele. Approval by IACS is also dependent upon evidence of continuing professional development as well as demonstration of excellence of counseling performance.
IACS was established in 1972 to encourage and aid counseling agencies to meet high professional standards through peer evaluation and to inform the public about counseling services that are competent and reliable.
CAPS offers free and confidential counseling services to Ithaca College students. Professional staff is available to consult with faculty/staff and others who may have concerns about the well-being of an Ithaca College student. Same Day Crisis Services are available for urgent needs. For more information, please call 607-274-3136 or go to our website www.ithaca.edu/sacl/counseling.
