IC Theatre will begin its 2014-15 season by presenting Bertolt Brecht’s masterpiece, “The Good Person of Szechwan”. The fall musical will be the 1960’s Frank Loesser classic, recently revived on Broadway, “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”.
In December, the theatre presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, “Anna in the Tropics” by Nilo Cruz. The annual collaboration between IC’s School of Music and the Dept. of Theatre Arts will bring to the stage the opera “Little Women”, based on the Louisa May Alcott book and composed by Mark Adomo. The next offering will be the dance concert, presenting several pieces in a variety of styles and highlighting the original choreography of the theatre arts dance faculty. Wrapping up the year is the beloved American classic comedy, “You Can’t Take It With You” by Kaufman & Hart.
In Dillingham’s intimate Studio 2 space, the theatre department will offer performances of Lynn Nottage’s “Intimate Apparel” in the fall and Emily Mann’s “Execution of Justice” in the spring.
IC Theatre offers a variety of subscription packages to make it easy to attend all of our shows with the best seats and the best prices. Stay tuned for package purchase information that will become available later this spring.
