Throughout the week of Monday, February 24–Friday, February 28, Ithaca College will be celebrating its first ever “I Love IC Week,” a week of events that promote philanthropy and school spirit across campus.
Along with building Bomber Pride, the primary purpose of ”I Love IC Week” is to challenge each and every individual on campus to identify why they love Ithaca College! “I Love IC Week” encourages students, staff and faculty to reciprocate this feeling and give back to further strengthen our community at Ithaca College. The week’s events are as follows:
Monday, 2/24 (10am-3pm) IC Kindness Day: Students can pass out palm cards (which also serve as raffle tickets for an iPad Mini!) for any random act of kindness they witness. Return these cards to Campus Center or send an image to @IthacaSTAT via direct message on Twitter.
Tuesday, 2/25 (11am-1pm) Get the Scoop on Philanthropy: Students can thank a donor and get ice cream in exchange from IC Celebrity Scoopers like senior class leaders, administration and faculty. All three a cappella groups will also be performing during the Noon-1pm hour.
Wednesday, 2/26 – Friday, 2/28 Tag Day: Look for our yard signs in the academic quad about philanthropy on our campus.
Thursday, 2/27 (Noon-1pm) 5 under 5 Alumni Panel: Come hear some of our young alumni speak about their transition from students to "the real world." There will be one alumnus from each of the 5 schools and they are all less than 5 years out!
Friday, 2/28 (9am-4pm) PS I Love IC boxes/board: See why all our students love IC at the display in the North Foyer.
Ongoing: We are partnering with Food for Thought to host a canned food drive. Pay $1 to donate a can and compete with the other classes to see who can donate the most!
“I Love IC Week” is hosted by Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT). We, as an organization, have worked diligently to plan “I Love IC Week” and hope that you all get the opportunity to participate in our daily activities.
