Los Angeles-based poet Will Alexander, whose work has been described as Afro-futurist or Afro-surrealist, will give a poetry reading that is free and open to the public on March 25th at 6:00 pm in the Handwerker Gallery. According to poet and critic Harryette Mullen, Will Alexander's "literary influences connect him to an international avant-garde, just as his experience as an African American connects him to a black diaspora, and to the political struggles of Third World people."
