Are you struggling with preparing healthy meals for yourself? Are you making the transition off campus in the fall and worried about cooking meals? This student-led course is for you!
Join us on Saturday April 5th in Hill G22 from 3:00 PM- 6:00 PM for "Cooking in College", an interactive event based off of the Cooking Matters curriculum.
Cooking in College will be taught by six students who are seniors in the Health Sciences and Nutrition major and trained to teach the material.
Students at this event will learn basic food preparation skills, food safety education, information on MyPlate and eating a balanced diet, reading food labels, eating healthy on a budget, and tips for navigating the grocery store.
Attendees will participate in the preparation of a meal, and educational material will be integrated throughout the event.
Space is limited, so email cookingincollege2@gmail.com to sign up ASAP.
