IC alum Steven Hartman's translation of Sleet long-listed for Three Percent's BTB award.

Steven Hartman (1987) has published a translation of stories by Swedish author Stig Dagerman titled Sleet (Verba Mundi Books, 2013) that has been has been long-listed for the 2104 Best Translated Book Award given by the University of Rochester’s weblog Three Percent. 

 The opening story in the collection, “To Kill A Child,” can be read on the New York Review of Books web page.  Hartman, a professor of English at Mid Sweden University, received his doctorate from SUNY Albany in 2003.
