Don't have enough scandal in your life? Enroll in The School for Scandal.
Gossip. Intrigue. Infidelity. Ripped from today's headlines? Hardly. Get a look at how these topics were portrayed on the British stage in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Students in the Styles of Acting course will present scenes from The Country Wife (1675) and The School for Scandal (1777) on Thursday April 3 at 1:30 p.m. in Studio 4 on the ground level of Dillingham Center. In The Country Wife, a dandy introduces his fiancee to a friend with unanticipated results. In The School for Scandal, a hypocrite is exposed in the famous screen scene.
The presentation will last for about 30 minutes.
