Executive board positions available! PCHSA seeking Officer of PR, Officer of Events, and Treasurer

The Public and Community Health Student Association is holding elections for the E-board for Fall 2014 semester on Thursday May 1 at 7pm. Location TBA. You do not need to be a PCH major to be on the E-board! We welcome all majors! We have three open positions for next semester:

• Executive Officer of Public Relations. Duties include:
  • Raising awareness of the organization’s existences and upcoming events
  • Designing and supplying posters for events at least one week prior to event and ensuring flyers are posted on campus
  • Promoting the organization via flyers, social media, word-of-mouth, etc.
• Executive Officer of Events. Duties include:
  • Organizing events and fundraisers
  • Outreach for collaboration with other organizations
  • Inviting guest speakers
  • Effectively communicating with Campus Center Events Services and other event leaders on event logics
• Treasurer. Duties include:
  • Assisting the president with any financial matters related to the organization
  • Making an SGA budget proposal each semester and adhering to SGA deadlines
  • Ensuring all funds are managed wisely and can be accounted for
  • Collecting and sorting money
  • Requesting and obtaining an Ithaca College credit card when needed

If you are interested, please come to the election prepared with a 2 minute speech about why you feel you deserve the position you are running for. After all the speeches, the people running will step out of the room and the club members and current e-board will vote anonymously.
