"Created Equal" has been chosen as the name of an April American Studies conference at the National University of Ireland. Donathan Brown, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies, has been asked to speak to conference attendees about race and voting rights in the United States. The title of the essay to be presented is "In Search of Voter Fraud: Race and Voting Rights in the United States."
The conference will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Dr. Brown will discuss/debate legal equality within the grander legal and political context of recent shifts in voter identification laws across the US.
