Ithaca College will host a screening of the film “Money & Life” on Wednesday, April 16 at 7pm in Textor 101. “Money & Life” is an inspirational documentary that asks a provocative question: can we see the economic crisis not as a disaster, but as a tremendous opportunity? This film connects the dots on our current economic pains and offers a new story of money based on an emerging paradigm of planetary well-being that understands all of life as profoundly interconnected. “Money & Life” invites us to meet the challenge of our time: to participate in the great transition to a sustainable, equitable and restorative economy that meets the needs and realities of the 21st century.
The discussion following the film will be led by Scott Morris, founder of My Local Coop, one of the subjects covered in the film. My Local Coop has the mission to empower local community resilience and generate real prosperity by bringing people together around what matters most.
This event, sponsored by Sustainability at Ithaca, is free and open to the public.
This event is eligible for Student Leadership Institute (SLI) credit.
