FYRE has been successful in recruiting more than half of the 48 FYRE Associates needed to expand to full-implementation next year. However, we still need applications!!

FYRE is an educational, community experience for first-year students with goals of easing first-year student transitions, providing opportunities for meaningful interactions with peers/faculty/staff, and supporting academic success through connection to the ICC themes. To accomplish this, FYRE depends on both Resident Assistants and FYRE Associates to serve as resources during first-year students’ transition to IC. The core role of the FYRE Associate role is to (1) develop connections with students through small group interactions, (2) plan six engaging [ICC] Theme Programs a year and, (3) partner with Residential Life staff (RAs) to facilitate these Theme Programs with students. For more information about FYRE, please visit ithaca.edu/fyre

If you are interested in the FYRE Associate role – as either a full-time, salaried, Ithaca College faculty or staff member, please email (1) a letter of interest and (2) resume or CV to Dr. Jacqueline Robilotta, Assistant Director for Residential Education, at jrobilotta@ithaca.edu. For the FYRE Associate job description, or any questions, please also email Jacqueline. Note: The FYRE Associate position offers an $1100 stipend as compensation.

If you are a student who would like to nominate an Ithaca College faculty or staff member – please email Jacqueline Robilotta at jrobilotta@ithaca.edu with a name and contact information!
