IC More Love Letters is leading a campaign called IC Love at First Sight — in Fall 2014, each new student will walk into their room for the first time and find a hand-written love letter waiting on their desk, welcoming them to their new home.IC More Love Letters is leading a campaign called IC Love at First Sight — in Fall 2014, each new student will walk into their room for the first time and find a hand-written love letter waiting on their desk, welcoming them to their new home.
IC More Love Letters needs YOUR help in writing over 1,000 letters for all the incoming students! Student, faculty, staff, administration — you're all invited to write a letter or two (or ten).
All you need is a piece of paper (at least a half sheet), a pen, and a smile. Think about what you would have wanted someone to say to you on your first day of college. Offer advice, encouragement, or even a joke to make him or her laugh. Decorate your letter with stickers and scribbles, use colored pens; make it your own!
You can sign your letter anonymously or with your first name, and please, NO contact information. Somewhere on your letter, include ICMLL's Twitter handle: @ICCampusCursive
When you're all done, you can turn your letter into one of the area offices in Terrace 7, Eastman, or East Tower, and the letter will given to us at ICMLL.
ICMLL will be having a club meeting at 5pm on Friday the 18th in Williams 202. We will have our stationary supplies with us and anyone in the Ithaca College campus community are welcome to attend and write letters with us. We hope to see you there!
We will be writing letters right up until school lets out for the summer, so please write one before then! We need as much participation as possible to achieve our goal. If you need stationary supplies, please email us at ICMoreLoveLetters@gmail.com and we will get some to you!
If you are a part of another student organization on campus that would be interested in devoting some time in one of its meetings to writing letters, please email us so we can send a representative to your meeting with supplies! We are also encouraging Resident Assistants to do letter-writing programs with their residents.
