Carlos Figueroa (Politics Department) has recently presented a paper titled “The Footnote/Endnote as an Interpretive Analytical Tool in Historical Political Science” as part of the Interpretation Across the Discipline panel, and also chaired a discussion on "Theorizing Black Identity" within the section titled Race, Ethnicity and Politics.  These sessions were part of the Western Political Science Association annual conference held in Seattle, WA, April 2014.
