Week of Sept 7th- Tryouts

The Ithaca College Softball Club, also known as the “Bomb Squad” formed in fall 2004.  Since that time it has grown in size and talent; currently holding a roster of 18 to 25 players. They are part of the National Club Softball Association which boasts a membership of 64 teams from around the nation; most Division I Universities and Colleges.  Their conference currently consists of Ithaca College, Syracuse University, and Cortland State.

In the Spring of 2008 they were one game from winning their conference. However, they were still selected to receive an “At-Large” bid to the 2008 NCSA World Series that was held in Carey, North Carolina.

In both 2013 and 2014 the Bomb Squad qualified for regionals and were seeded first in the 2014 regionals and were again selected for an "At-Large" bid for the 2014 Nationals in Georgia.

The season consists of 12 games against teams within their conference, and other tournaments such as the Red Baron’s Fall Invitational and the NCSA Fall Tournament. Depending on weather they also play TC3 and Corning Community College. The club starts its season in mid September with tryouts usually within the first weeks of school.  Roster decisions will be announced prior to the team’s first game and will be at the discretion of the coaches.
