Tertulia: Spanish Conversation Hours

01/24/14

Contributed by Maria DiFrancesco

It's spring! And it's time for another fabulous semester of tertulias

A tertulia is a social gathering with literary or artistic overtones, especially in Spain or Latin America. If you are a student of Spanish, speak Spanish at home and miss speaking it on campus, or if you are simply looking to meet others who are passionate about the Spanish-speaking world and its cultures, then this is your chance!

When & Where: Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Language and Cultural Exchange Cooperative (Job 209). Come for as much (or as little) time as you can.

Why: This is a great opportunity for you to  practice your Spanish language skills in a supportive, relaxed environment with native and near-native speakers of Spanish who will facilitate learning. Students of all language abilities are welcome.

Questions: Contact Professor Maria DiFrancesco, Muller 411 (mdifrancesco@ithaca.edu).

Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Professor Maria DiFrancesco at mdifrancesco@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3547.
