Chip Gagnon, Associate Professor of Politics, has published a co-edited volume, Post-Conflict Studies: An Interdisciplinary Approach (Routledge, 2014).
Based on a series of workshops held at Cornell University’s Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, the volume draws on a range of disciplinary approaches in order to understand the processes by which societies transition from periods of overt violence to periods of relative peace, with a particular focus on problematizing the notion of “post-conflict.”
Gagnon co-authored the Introduction and Conclusion of the volume with his co-editor, anthropologist Keith Brown. He also authored a chapter in the volume, “Democracy Promotion as Mission.”
